Ernest P. Ruckman, of Westminster, Colorado, passed away Friday, August 4, 1972, at a Denver hospital after a lengthy illness, at the age of 85 years. Born June 30, 1887, at Mill Point, he was a son of the late Millard F. and Eliza Jane Ruckman.

Mrs. Leah Easter Ruckman Boggs, 79, died Sunday, November 15, 1970, in a Richmond, VA, hospital after suffering a stroke a few days before.
Born at Mill Point February 18, 1891, she was a daughter of James R. and Minnie Smith Ruckman.

Dr. Marvin C. Smith, 88, of Hillsboro, passed away Monday, June 20, 1966, at Weston State Hospital, after a long illness.
He was born at Mill Point, September 2, 1877, a son of the late Joseph S. Smith and Abigail Curry Smith. Mr. Smith was
united in marriage to Mary Daisy Ruckman, October, 1901, who preceded him in death.

HILLSBORO (RNS)–Mrs. Christine A. Ruckman, 66, died June 15, 1964 in a Marlinton hospital Monday at 7:30 p.m. after a short illness. She was a member of the Presbyterian Church and the Order of Eastern Star at Hillsboro. She was born at Millboro, Va., Dec. 31, 1897.

Dennie Samuel Ruckman, 74, of Hillsboro, died in the Pocahontas Memorial Hospital thursday, October 24, 1963, after a
few weeks’ illness. The son of Millard Filmore and Eliza Jane Smith Ruckman, he was born at Mill Point June 28, 1889.
He was a member of the Wesley Chapel Methodist Church at Hillsboro and a member of the Masonic Lodge No. 121 and
Order of the Eastern Star.

Mrs. Mary Daisy Smith, age 80 years, of Hillsboro, died in the Pocahontas Memorial Hospital at 5:00 o’clock Sunday morning, May 1, 1960, after a long illness. She was a member of the Wesley Chapel Methodist Church, at Hillsboro, and a member of the Order of Eastern Star, Chapter No. 93. Mrs. Smith was born at Mill Point, on October 20, 1879, the daughter of the late Millard F. and Eliza Jane Smith Ruckman.

Carl Winfield Slavin, aged 80 years, died at his home on Wednesday, July 8, 1959, after a long illness. A retired tinner and plumber he had spent most of his life in Pocahontas County.
He was born near Marlinton on December 15, 1878. He was the son of the late Winfield and Nannie Patterson Slavin.

Fred W Ruckman, of Mill Point died suddenly on Wednesday, July 2nd, 1958, of a heart attack. He had eaten his
breakfast and been around the house as usual that morning.
He was born November 6, 1882, at Mill Point, the son of the late Mathews and Mary L. Hogsett Ruckman. He married
Miss Alice Thaw, of Richmond, Virginia, who preceded him in death about five years ago.

David Early Ruckman, aged 69 years, of Mill Point, died after an illness of a few hours on Friday, July 20, 1951. On
Sunday afternoon the funeral was conducted from Marvin Chapel by his pastor, Rev. Drury Jones. Interment in the Ruckman cemetery.

Mrs. Ruth Ruckman Smith, aged 57 years, wife of A. M. Smith, died at her home near Millpoint on Friday, April 20, 1951, after a long illness. On Sunday afternoon the funeral was held from Marvin Chapel by Rev. Quade Arbogast, assisted by Rev. T. E. Painter and Rev. Drury Jones. Her body was laid in the nearby Ruckman Cemetery.
