Nannie P. Slaven-Died February 23, 1930

Mrs. Nannie P. Slaven died at her home in Marlinton, Sunday afternoon, February 23, 1930. She had been ill for some
time. Her age was 71 years. On Monday afternoon her funeral was conducted from her home by her pastor, Rev. J. H.
Haley, of the Southern Methodist Church. Burial was in the Ruckman Cemetery near Mill Point.

Minnie Smith Ruckman-Died June 20, 1929

Mrs. Minnie Smith Ruckman, wife of J. R. Ruckman, died at her home near Millpoint, on Thursday June 20, 1929. She had been an invalid for many years. Her age was 63 years, four months and ten days. On Saturday the funeral was conducted from Marvin Chapel church by Revs. A. C. Pugh, M. R. Atkinson and S. R. Neel. Burial in the Ruckman graveyard.

Brother Millard Filmore Ruckman, son of James W. and Caroline Arbogast Ruckman was born June 25, 1857, and
departed this life at his home near Millpoint, WV, June 30, 1914, aged 57 years and five days.
He was married to Miss Eliza Jane Smith, October 10, 1878. There were born to this happy union seven children, five sons and two daughters, who with his wife survive him.
