Mrs. Nannie P. Slaven died at her home in Marlinton, Sunday afternoon, February 23, 1930. She had been ill for some
time. Her age was 71 years. On Monday afternoon her funeral was conducted from her home by her pastor, Rev. J. H.
Haley, of the Southern Methodist Church. Burial was in the Ruckman Cemetery near Mill Point.

Mrs. Minnie Smith Ruckman, wife of J. R. Ruckman, died at her home near Millpoint, on Thursday June 20, 1929. She had been an invalid for many years. Her age was 63 years, four months and ten days. On Saturday the funeral was conducted from Marvin Chapel church by Revs. A. C. Pugh, M. R. Atkinson and S. R. Neel. Burial in the Ruckman graveyard.

Squire Otho D. Ruckman, was born September 27, 1850, and died from a mastoid operation, at Johns Hopkins Hospital, December 21, 1927 at the age 68 years, three months and six days. His daughter, Mrs R.E. rhodes, of Rainelle, was at his bedside when the death call came.

Otho W. Ruckman, one of the oldest citizens of Pocahontas County, died on Friday, July 8, 1921, at the home of his son O.D. Ruckman, Clintonville, Greenbrier County. His age was 90 years, one month and 8 days. He was sick but a short time

Miss Mary Ruckman died at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. R. Ruckman, at Marvin, January 23, 1917, aged
about 30 years, after a long illness of tuberculosis.

Brother Millard Filmore Ruckman, son of James W. and Caroline Arbogast Ruckman was born June 25, 1857, and
departed this life at his home near Millpoint, WV, June 30, 1914, aged 57 years and five days.
He was married to Miss Eliza Jane Smith, October 10, 1878. There were born to this happy union seven children, five sons and two daughters, who with his wife survive him.

The Little Levels community was called upon to mourn one of our most substantial citizens recently in the death of
Matthews Ruckman, which occurred at his home near Millpoint on February 2, 1911, in the fifth-fifth year of his age.

Academy–Died, at his home near Millpoint, at noon Saturday, December 24, 1910, of pulmonary, or tuberculosis disease,
Mr. Wallace W. Ruckman, a faithful member of the Oak Grove Presbyterian church, aged fifty-five years.

Colonel John W Ruckman died at his residence near Mill Point, Thursday, March 16, 1899, aged over 70 years. During his
life he was a citizen of prominence in county affairs, and was especially successful as a farmer and stock dealer. As a
person of strict integrity in his business relations his reputation ranks with the highest.
