C. Shirley Paben age 86 of Toledo, Ohio passed away on Monday, February 7, 2011 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Perrysburg. Shirley was born in Covington, Virginia on June 4, 1924. She had a fondness for flowers, only surpassed, by her friends and family, and deeply rooted faith in the good Lord. Shirley could often be found planting new seeds (and weeding) in her garden/s or passing hope on to family and friends. Shirley was preceded in death by her husband John (Jack) Paben and is survived by her sister, Mary Spangler, sons: Bill (Deb) Paben, and Tim (Karen) Paben; grandchildren: Tanya Sutter (Sam Rowles), TJ (Leslie) Paben, Carrie and Chad Paben; great grandchildren: Samantha, Tayler, Breanna Sutter, Savannah Rowles, RJ and Lacey Paben, and special friend Judy Flowers. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Northwest Ohio, 30000 East River Road, Perrysburg, Ohio 43551 or Bethany Community Fellowship Church, 5757 Flanders Rd, Sylvania, Ohio.
A memorial service will be held at the church on Thursday, February 17, 2011 at 7:30 pm.
