Mrs. Minnie Smith Ruckman, wife of J. R. Ruckman, died at her home near Millpoint, on Thursday June 20, 1929. She had
been an invalid for many years. Her age was 63 years, four months and ten days. On Saturday the funeral was conducted
from Marvin Chapel church by Revs. A. C. Pugh, M. R. Atkinson and S. R. Neel. Burial in the Ruckman graveyard.
Mrs. Ruckman was a daughter of the late Dr. P. A. Smith, of Edray. She was born February 10, 1866. At the age of fifteen
years she made a public profession of her faith in Christ, and became a member of the Methodist church. On October 28
1885 she became the wife of J. R. Ruckman, who with their two daughters, Mrs. Rachel Gum, of Millpoint and Mrs. Leah
Boggs, of Marlinton survive. A daughter, Mary, died several years ago.
