Aaron L. “Skip” Neal, 59, of 515 Mehring Road, Littlestown, died Sunday, Oct. 17 at the Hanover Hospital.

Born June 26, 1945 in Tyler, Texas, he was a son of Ruth Ruckman Neal of Gettysburg and the late Frederick J. Neal. He was the husband of Betty Riebling Neal for 18 years.

Mr. Neal was a member of the First Baptist Church and the Albert J. Lentz Post 202 American Legion, both in Gettysburg. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War, serving two tours of duty in Vietnam with the U.S. Army. Mr. Neal was employed by Sears in Hanover at the time of his death. He had formerly been employed by Ingram Micro Company, Lickdale for 15 years. Mr. Neal was a graduate of Gettysburg High School and the Rhode Island Institute of Design. During his college years, he was employed by the Gettysburg National Military Park.

Surviving in addition to his wife and mother are one stepson, Bryan P. Plank of Gettysburg; three grandchildren, and one brother, Mark A. Neal of Gettysburg.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, Oct. 21 at 11 a.m. at the Monahan Funeral Home, 125 Carlisle St., Gettysburg, with the Rev. David Dunn officiating. Interment will be in the Evergreen Cemetery, Gettysburg. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday, from 10 a.m. until the time of the service.
