Ernest P. Ruckman, of Westminster, Colorado, passed away Friday, August 4, 1972, at a Denver hospital after a lengthy
illness, at the age of 85 years. Born June 30, 1887, at Mill Point, he was a son of the late Millard F. and Eliza Jane
Ruckman.
He married Ethel Clayton June 30, 1930 in the Columbus Evangelical Church, Columbus, Montana. He was a resident of
Montana for 55 years and owned a cattle ranch at Reedpoint for many years and later spent 15 years in Absarokee as
owner of the Gamble store.
He was a member of the Methodist Church most of his life and a member of the American Legion over 50 years. He
retired and moved to Littleton near Denver, Colorado, in 1955.
Mr. Ruckman is survived by his widow, Mrs. Ethel Ruckman; one son, John Ruckman; three grandchildren, three brothers,
Lee V. Ruckman, of Norfolk, Virginia, W. O. Ruckman of Buckeye, and Charles W. Ruckman, of Spokane, Washington.
Services were conducted Tuesday at the Chapel of Flowers Arvada, Colorado, with interment at Fort Logan National
Cemetery.
